The Black Voice newspaper was founded in April 2024 to fill the void left by the closure of the Charleston Chronicle. Our mission is to provide a reliable platform to empower present and future generations. And to inform Black communities of current and historical events that will lead to social, cultural, economic and political elevation.

We are committed to reporting on timely and significant issues affecting Black communities. The publication will deliver comprehensive coverage on matters of Justice, Community, Education, Politics, and Health. The main areas of focus will be the counties of Berkeley, Dorchester, and Charleston.  The Black Voice Newspaper will also address important state and national news that impacts Black communities.
